Passport kaise apply kare?

Passport apply karna ab kaafi easy ho gaya hai. Aap online apply kar sakte hain aur fir Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) ya Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) par jaakar documents verify karwa sakte hain.

Yahaan step-by-step process di gayi hai:

1. Passport Seva Portal par Register karein: Sabse pehle aapko Ministry of External Affairs ke official Passport Seva Portal par jaana hoga.

• Website: www.passportindia.gov.in
• Wahaan "New User Registration" par click karein.
• Apni details fill karke ek account banayein aur usse activate karein.

2. Online Application Form Fill karein:

• Register karne ke baad, apne login ID aur password se portal par Login karein.
• "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" option ko select karein.
• Application form mein saari required details jaise personal information, family details, address, emergency contact etc. carefully fill karein.
• Form submit karne se pehle apni details ko ek baar check kar lein.
• Form submit karne ke baad aapko ek Application Reference Number (ARN) milega.

3. Fees Pay karein aur Appointment Book karein:

• Form submit karne ke baad, "Pay and Schedule Appointment" option par click karein.
• Online payment mandatory hai appointment book karne ke liye.
• Aap apne convenience ke according nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) ya Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) select kar sakte hain.
• Normal passport ke liye fees typically ₹1,500 (36 pages) ya ₹2,000 (60 pages) hoti hai. Minors (15 saal se kam) ke liye ₹1,000 hai.
• Agar aapko Tatkaal service chahiye, toh additional fees lagti hai. Tatkaal ke liye adult (36 pages) ki fees lagbhag ₹3,500 aur (60 pages) ki ₹4,500 hoti hai. Minors ke liye Tatkaal fees ₹3,000 hai.

4. Documents Ready rakhein: Appointment ke din aapko apne original documents aur unki self-attested photocopies le jaani hongi. Kuch common documents hain:

• Proof of Address (POA): Aadhaar Card, Electricity bill, Water bill, Gas bill, Bank Passbook, Rent Agreement.
• Proof of Date of Birth (DOB): Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, 10th-grade mark sheet.
• Identity Proof: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Driving License.
• Old Passport (agar re-issue kar rahe hain)
• Two recent passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm, white background, ICAO compliant).
• Agar minor ke liye apply kar rahe hain, toh parents ke passport aur consent documents (Annexure H) bhi chahiye honge.
• Marriage Certificate ya Joint Photo Declaration (Annexure J) agar spouse ka naam add karna hai.

5. PSK/POPSK Visit karein:

• Apne scheduled appointment date aur time par selected PSK/POPSK par pahunche.
• Saath mein appointment confirmation receipt, online filled form ka printout, aur saare original documents aur unki self-attested copies le jaana na bhoolein.
• Wahaan aapke biometrics (fingerprints aur photo) liye jaayenge aur documents verify honge.

6. Police Verification:

• Application process complete hone ke baad, aapke address par police verification hogi.
• Police verification report clear hone ke baad hi passport issue hota hai.

7. Passport Dispatch:

• Police verification clear hone ke baad, aapka passport print hokar speed post se aapke address par bhej diya jaayega.
• Normal passport ka processing time usually 15-25 working days hota hai. Complex cases mein ya police verification pending hone par 30 din ya usse zyada bhi lag sakte hain.
• Tatkaal passports generally 1-3 working days mein process ho jaate hain (verification ke baad).
